We want to be transparent about the types of data we process, why we process it, who we share it with and the rights you have in relation to your personal data. This privacy statement explains how we handle these matters.

If you still have questions after reading this document, please feel free to contact us.

  • Your explicit consent to process your data for specific purposes. You may withdraw this consent at any time.
  • Our legitimate interests, or those of a third party, in connection with our business operations. In doing so, we always balance your interests against our own. Our legitimate interests include the proper performance of agreements with you, maintaining and, where appropriate, developing our client relationship through online or direct marketing, and profiling for marketing purposes.

Storage and retention of personal data

We retain your personal data only for as long as, and to the extent that, we need it. We have implemented appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data.

We will retain any data that we necessarily require for at least the duration of our relationship or agreement with you. Once our relationship or agreement ends, we will retain the data for the statutory retention periods that apply to us.

What are your rights?

You are our client. This means you have the right to decide which information we may or may not receive from you. You also have a number of other rights, which are set out below.

  • You can ask us at any time for an overview of the personal data we hold about you. We will provide this free of charge.
  • If you believe that certain information in our records is incorrect, you can ask us to correct it. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, as we can only provide our services properly when the information we use is accurate.
  • If you no longer want certain information to be included in our records, you can ask us to delete it. We will comply with your request, subject to any legitimate interests of our business that may require us to retain the data.
  • We have explained above how we use the information you provide to us. If at any time you want to restrict how we use that information, for example by asking us not to share certain data with a particular organisation, please let us know. We will, of course, comply with your request.
  • If you wish, you can ask us to transfer your data to a third party, such as your accountant, solicitor or bank. We will process your request as soon as possible after receiving it.
  • If we receive personal data about you from third parties, for example from your insurer, accountant, bank or another financial adviser, we will inform you of the source from which we received that information.

Please note: there may be circumstances in which we are unable to comply with a request in full. If so, we will explain the reasons to you.

If you complete the contact form on our website or send us an email, we will retain the information you provide for as long as necessary to respond to and fully deal with your enquiry, taking into account the nature of the form or the content of your email.

Disclosure to third parties

We will only share your data with insurers and lenders if you expressly indicate that you wish to take out a financial product. In that case, we will only share the information that is strictly necessary to arrange that financial product.

Where necessary, we may also share your personal data with organisations involved in providing or administering a financial product. For example, if you make a claim under an insurance policy, a loss adjuster may need to visit you, or we may ask a repairer to contact you.
